Job Shadow Career Fair ASVAB

A.S.V.A.B

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a mulit-aptitude test battery that has been developed by the military to determine a person's current knowledge and skills. The ASVAB measures aptitudes that are related to success in different kinds of jobs. It consists of eight short individual tests covering General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Auto and Shop Information, and Mechanical Comprehension.

In the fall of each school year, EDHS provides an opportunity for our students to take the ASVAB here on our campus. We believe that it is another excellent tool students can use to help them in their career exploration. The test is given on a school day in the afternoon from approximately 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm; therefore students will need their own transportation home. Students will receive their results about three weeks later at lunchtime in the Career Center. Information about the ASVAB will be announced in the daily bulletin and on bulletin boards. Signups will be in the Career Center.

It is free and there is no obligation to the military!!
