FAFSA
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a federal form for financial aid that is accepted by most schools. The information you provide will be used to figure the amount your family can afford to contribute toward your education (EFC - or estimated family contribution).
The FAFSA for college attendance during Fall of 2011 can be filed beginning January 1, 2011.
The deadline for filing this form is early and most families estimate their tax figures, then update with real figures sometime after the deadline. CHECK THE DEADLINE for each college and/or major/scholarship/grant you apply to.
