Job Shadow program
Each year El Dorado and Union Mine Career Centers, the Placerville and Pollock Pines Rotary Clubs, and our community business members provide job shadow opportunities for our Junior and Senior students. These job shadows are a wonderful way for you to get a chance to see a career “up close” and to learn what the daily routine is like.
You will hear about “Job Shadow” sign-ups from the Daily Bulletin in early spring, as well as see advertisements for it around our school and here on the website. If it is something you would like to do, come to the Career Center, sign up, and let us know what career field you are interested in. Every effort will be made to find you a job shadow. If a match is made, a date is set, and you will shadow for one school day.
*Note: Doctors and lawyers deal with confidentiality; therefore, it makes it hard to get shadows for those professions. Please sign up for them anyway and we will try to place you in those career areas.
